Vlasis Stathakopoulos (Ph.D University of Arizona) is Professor of Marketing at the Athens University of Economics and Business. He is a graduate of AUEB. He holds an MBA and a PhD from Arizona State University, USA.

He is the scientific coordinator for the MSc Program in Marketing and Communications. He is also the Director of the Business Communications Lab. He has published in the Journal of Marketing, Journal of Personal Selling and Sales Management, Journal of Brand Management, European Journal of Marketing, Journal of Marketing Management, Journal of Business Ethics, The International Journal of Bank Marketing, International Journal of Advertising and various research proceedings.

He has collaborated with a large number of Greek and International companies in various sectors (consumer products, industrial products, services). Some of the companies he has worked with are the following: L'Oreal, Melissokomiki Attica, Ethniki Asfalistiki, Schneider Electric, Monsanto, S & B Mineral Industry, AB Vassilopoulos, SATO, DELL, HP, OTEnet, PPC, Eurobank, Emporiki Bank, Shell, GSK, Genesis Pharma, Serono, Wyeth, Janssen Cilag, Alcon, Vamvas Medical, Energizer, Ericsson, and VODAFONE.

His research and teaching interests include implementation issues in marketing management, marketing strategy, market research, customer service, customer satisfaction, and sales management. He has written three books.
